As per state government directives, paddy procurement at Minimum Support Price (MSP) will begin in Jabalpur district from December 1 (Monday). For this purpose, 55 procurement centers have been set up across the district, and all required arrangements have already been completed.
Procurement will be conducted five days a week (Monday to Friday) from 8 AM to 8 PM.
Collector Raghvendra Singh has instructed all officials involved in the procurement process to ensure that only genuine registered farmers are allowed to sell their produce, and that only FAQ (Fair Average Quality) paddy is accepted.
He has also directed officials to take strict action against middlemen or traders attempting to misuse the system. Officials have been asked to ensure that farmers do not face any inconvenience at procurement centers, and that FAQ quality sample displays are placed at every center.
Appeal to Farmers:
The Collector has urged farmers to bring their produce to procurement centers only after cleaning and properly drying it. He also advised farmers to ensure their bank account and mobile number are linked with Aadhaar before booking slots. After the weighing process, farmers must collect the weighing slip and acknowledgment receipt generated on the procurement portal.
Slot Booking is Mandatory:
According to information received from the Food Department, paddy procurement will be carried out strictly through slot booking. Farmers can book their slots online at: www.mpeuparjan.nic.in
Key Guidelines:
Bank Account Verification Required:
During slot booking, the portal will display the farmer’s Aadhaar-linked bank account number and bank name, which must be cross-checked with the passbook for verification. If a farmer wishes to receive payment in a different bank account, they must first link that account with Aadhaar. Only then will slot booking be possible.
