The district administration has made eKYC mandatory for all eligible ration card holders under the Public Distribution System (PDS). District Collector Mr. Balaguru K. has instructed concerned officials to ensure that the eKYC process is completed for all remaining beneficiaries by 31st May 2025. Out of 10,21,106 eligible beneficiaries in the district, 9,01,765 have already completed their eKYC.
Collector Mr. Balaguru has urged all eligible ration card holders in the district to complete their eKYC promptly to ensure uninterrupted access to ration benefits.
For beneficiaries whose fingerprints are not recognized by POS (Point of Sale) machines, the Collector has recommended the use of the "Mera eKYC" mobile app for facial verification. The step-by-step process is as follows:
Instructions to Officials: Collector Mr. Balaguru has directed all concerned officials and ration shopkeepers to assist beneficiaries with Face eKYC through the app in cases where fingerprint authentication fails, ensuring no eligible person is deprived of their entitlement.
Note: All eligible citizens are strongly advised to complete their eKYC before the deadline of 31st May by visiting their nearest fair price shop or MP Online center with the necessary documents. Failure to complete eKYC within the given timeline may result in disruption of ration distribution as per guidelines issued by the Government of India.
