Farmers, take note! Today’s latest mandi price data shows significant fluctuations in wheat prices across different states. In some mandis, good quality produce and lower arrivals pushed prices higher, while in others, heavy arrivals kept prices under pressure.

For the current season, the government has fixed the MSP (Minimum Support Price) of wheat at ₹2,425 per quintal. Encouragingly, several mandis reported rates above MSP, giving relief to farmers.

In Uttar Pradesh’s Sirsa mandi, wheat prices touched ₹2,700 per quintal, the highest for the day. On the other hand, in Madhya Pradesh’s Mehr mandi, heavy arrivals dragged prices down to ₹2,375 per quintal, below MSP. This shows the contrasting price scenario across regions, making today’s mandi report especially important for farmers to plan their sales smartly.

  2. Sell immediately in markets where rates are above ₹2,600 (e.g., Sirsa, Petlawad, Ghiror) for assured profits.
  3. Farmers with storage facilities can wait till the festive and wedding season, when demand is expected to rise further.
  4. Maintain grain quality, as mill-quality wheat continues to have stable demand.
