Millions of farmers across India are eagerly waiting for the release of the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme. As per reports, the installment is expected to be credited to farmers’ bank accounts in December 2025. However, beneficiaries who have not yet completed their e-KYC or Aadhaar seeding may face delays or even miss the payment. Therefore, farmers are urged to complete the KYC process at the earliest.
The scheme, every eligible farmer family receives ₹6,000 annually, transferred in three installments of ₹2,000 each. So far, 20 installments have been successfully disbursed. The 20th installment was released on August 2, 2025, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi. To ensure the timely and transparent delivery of benefits, completion of e-KYC has now been made mandatory before the release of the 21st installment.
If the KYC process is not completed within the given time, farmers will not receive the upcoming installment. The government has enforced mandatory KYC to ensure that financial assistance reaches only genuine and eligible beneficiaries.

In the past, issues like fake registrations, Aadhaar mismatches, or incorrect data have led to payment failures. To eliminate such discrepancies and maintain transparency, Aadhaar seeding and KYC verification have been made compulsory.
Objective of the PM-Kisan Scheme: The primary goal of the PM-Kisan Yojana is to financially empower small and marginal farmers, enabling them to fulfill agricultural needs without monetary stress. To date, the scheme has directly benefited crores of farmers, and will continue to play a key role in supporting India’s agriculture sector.
