Govt issues strong warning Aahead of PM-KISAN Scheme's 20th Installment: know eligibility, process, and support system

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme offers direct financial assistance to eligible farmers across India. With the 20th installment expected soon, the central government is intensifying efforts to include more farmers under the scheme while warning them against fake news and misleading claims.

Government’s Strict Advisory: Beware of Fake News:

The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare has urged farmers to remain cautious about false information related to the PM-KISAN scheme. Through its official social media channels, the ministry clarified that no official announcement has yet been made regarding the 20th installment.

What is the PM-KISAN Scheme?

PM-KISAN scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 per year, disbursed in three equal installments of ₹2,000 every four months through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into their bank accounts.
19th Installment Released in February 2025
The 19th installment was disbursed in February 2025 during an official event held in Bihar, where the Prime Minister transferred over ₹22,000 crore directly to the bank accounts of millions of farmers.

How to Check if You Will Receive the 20th Installment:

2. Go to the “Farmers Corner” section on the homepage
3. Click on “Beneficiary List”
4. Select your State, District, Sub-district, Block, and Village
5. Click “Get Report” and check for your name in the list

How Are Eligible Farmers Enrolled?

The central government, in collaboration with state governments, conducts saturation drives to bring all eligible farmers into the scheme:

1. Through campaigns like ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’, over 1 crore new farmers have been added.
2. The government’s 100-day special drive, around 25 lakh new eligible farmers have been enrolled.
3. Since September 2024, more than 30 lakh self-registered farmers have received approval under a dedicated enrollment drive.
