The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme offers direct financial assistance to eligible farmers across India. With the 20th installment expected soon, the central government is intensifying efforts to include more farmers under the scheme while warning them against fake news and misleading claims.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare has urged farmers to remain cautious about false information related to the PM-KISAN scheme. Through its official social media channels, the ministry clarified that no official announcement has yet been made regarding the 20th installment.
PM-KISAN scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 per year, disbursed in three equal installments of ₹2,000 every four months through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into their bank accounts.
19th Installment Released in February 2025
The 19th installment was disbursed in February 2025 during an official event held in Bihar, where the Prime Minister transferred over ₹22,000 crore directly to the bank accounts of millions of farmers.
