The Madhya Pradesh government has taken another major decision in the interest of farmers. For the Kharif marketing year 2025–26, farmers who have not yet registered for paddy procurement at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) will now get an additional opportunity to register till November 6. This decision reflects the farmer-centric vision of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and the proactive efforts of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Minister Shri Govind Singh Rajput.

Extension for 16 Districts Across the State:

Minister Rajput informed that orders have been issued to the collectors of all concerned districts where the registration deadline has been extended. The districts include Dindori, Mandla, Balaghat, Satna, Chhindwara, Shahdol, Anuppur, Damoh, Seoni, Maihar, Umaria, Jabalpur, Sidhi, Alirajpur, Betul, and Panna.

Registration in these districts will be conducted in the presence of designated nodal officers. Several districts had reported that due to technical issues, time constraints, or unfavorable weather, some farmers were unable to complete registration. Considering these genuine concerns, the state government decided to extend the registration period to ensure that no eligible farmer is deprived of the government procurement benefits.

Clear Guidelines Issued for Registration:

According to the directive from the Directorate of Food, registration at each center will only be carried out in the presence of nodal officers from the Food, Cooperation, Revenue, and Agriculture Departments. Only those farmers whose names are listed in the district proposals will be allowed to register. The process will be completed after verifying all required documents. The government has directed all districts to complete the registration of remaining farmers by November 6 without fail.

Government’s Aim: “Every Farmer Should Get Their Due”:

Minister Rajput emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the government is committed to ensuring that the benefits of all agricultural schemes reach every category of farmers.
He stated, “It is our responsibility to ensure that no farmer is left out from selling their produce at MSP. That’s why the registration period has been extended.”
The government aims to ensure that farmers receive the fair value for their hard work, and that the procurement system remains transparent and hassle-free, so that farmers face no difficulties at procurement centers or mandis.

Result of Farmer-Friendly Governance:

Minister Rajput added that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has always regarded farmers as the backbone of Madhya Pradesh’s economy. Under his leadership, the state has expanded several agriculture-focused schemes including irrigation, seeds, fertilizers, electricity, and crop insurance providing continuous relief to farmers. The decision to extend the paddy registration deadline is a continuation of this approach, ensuring that every farmer can benefit from government procurement at MSP.

Farmers Can Register till November 6: This decision brings significant relief to farmers who missed earlier registration deadlines. They can now visit their nearest registration centers with the required documents and complete the process by November 6.
