Vidisha Tehsil Leads in Registrations:

District Supply Officer and nodal officer for procurement operations, Anil Tantuvay, stated that farmers from various tehsils of the district are actively registering to sell their produce at the MSP.
Data shows that Vidisha tehsil has recorded the highest number of registrations, with 15,005 farmers covering 45,452.20 hectares of agricultural land. It is followed by Sironj with 10,592 registrations, Basoda with 10,046, Nateran with 8,796, and Shamshabad with 8,227 registered farmers.

Large Participation from Other Tehsils:

Several other tehsils in the district have also reported significant participation from farmers registering for MSP procurement. Kurwai, 7,821 farmers have registered, while in Lateri, 6,353 have registered. Gulabganj has 5,226 registered farmers, Gyaraspur 5,080, Tyonda 4,513, Pathari 2,996, and the Vidisha urban area has reported 1,842 farmer registrations.

Crop-wise Registration Data:

A closer look at the crop-wise data reveals that 75,583 farmers have registered for wheat procurement. In addition, 22,711 farmers have registered for gram (chickpea), 18,221 farmers for lentil, and 4,118 farmers for mustard.

Crop procurement at MSP will be carried out at designated procurement centres based on the registered farmer data. The district administration has appealed to farmers to verify their registration details within the stipulated time and to submit all necessary procurement-related documents on time to avoid any inconvenience during the sale of their produce.
