Good news for soybean farmers: ₹1300/quintal directly into their accounts, see when the money will arrive

Madhya Pradesh government has announced financial support of ₹1,300 per quintal for soybean farmers the Bhavantar Payment Scheme, bringing major relief to millions of farmers across the state. The amount will be transferred directly to farmers’ bank accounts through DBT on 13 November 2025. The initiative aims to ensure income stability for farmers by covering the gap between market prices and the Minimum Support Price (MSP).

New Soybean Model Rate Announced at ₹4,056/quintal:

The Bhavantar Scheme 2025, a new model rate of ₹4,056 per quintal for soybean was released on 11 November 2025. This rate applies to all farmers who sold their soybean produce in government-registered mandis across the state. The compensation amount (Bhavantar) will be calculated based on the difference between the model rate and the MSP.
The model rate has shown a steady upward trend, giving farmers hope for higher compensation. Earlier, on 7 November 2025, the model rate was ₹4,020 per quintal. In just four days, it has increased further, reflecting improved market sentiment and ensuring greater benefit for farmers.

How was the ₹1,300 Compensation Amount Decided?

• The MSP for soybean is ₹5,328 per quintal (fixed by the Government of India).
• The first model rate released on 7 November 2025 was ₹4,020/quintal, creating a price gap of ₹1,308/quintal, rounded to ₹1,300 by the state government.
• The updated model rate on 8 November 2025 was ₹4,033/quintal, based on which the MSP gap comes to approximately ₹1,295/quintal.

When Will the Bhavantar Payment Be Released?

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has confirmed that the compensation amount will be credited to farmers' accounts on 13 November 2025. The scheme has been introduced to protect farmers from financial losses caused by fluctuating market prices.

Farmer Registration & Procurement Highlights:

• Registration Period: 3 October to 17 October 2025
• Total Farmers Registered: 9.36 lakh
• Procurement Period: 24 October 2025 to 15 January 2026
• Farmers Who Have Sold Produce So Far: 1.44 lakh
• Total Procurement Volume: Over 24.67 lakh quintals
• Total Procurement Centers: 243 mandis and sub-mandis

The highest arrivals have been reported in Ganjbasoda, Dewas, Ujjain, Indore, and Agar mandis.

What is the Model Rate and How Is It Fixed?

The model rate reflects the average selling price of a crop in mandis, calculated daily based on:

• Crop quality and grade
• Demand and supply dynamics
• Recent average market prices

Example: If the model rate is ₹4,000 and MSP is ₹5,328, the farmer becomes eligible for a compensation of ₹1,328 per quintal.
