Madhya Pradesh government has approved the continuation of eight state-funded schemes of the Horticulture and Food Processing Department from the financial year 2026-27 to 2030-31. A total financial provision of ₹491 crore has been approved for these schemes. The initiatives are aimed at expanding the area under fruit and spice crops, improving cultivation quality, strengthening crop protection and promoting activities related to food processing.

The Cabinet has approved an interest-free loan of ₹2,220.62 crore for the Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Marketing Federation (MARKFED). The funds will be used to repay outstanding liabilities related to the foodgrain credit-limit loan for the Rabi Marketing Year 2024-25. The government has decided to ensure repayment of the outstanding amount by September 30, 2026. The loan will be made available by the Finance Department, taking into account the state's cash liquidity position and the prescribed fiscal deficit limit. Other terms and conditions will be finalised with the approval of the Finance Department, considering MARKFED's financial position. The decision is linked to the settlement of financial liabilities arising from foodgrain procurement and marketing operations.
₹250 Special Assistance for Ladli Behna Beneficiaries Approved:
The Cabinet has also formally approved the ₹250 special financial assistance provided to eligible women beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana 2023 on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. The additional assistance was provided along with the regular financial assistance for August 2026. The Cabinet's approval ratifies the decision communicated through the order issued by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on August 20, 2026, followed by the departmental order issued on August 24, 2026.
