Central Government is implementing a dedicated scheme for the formation and promotion of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), aimed at empowering farmer groups and integrating them with national agricultural value chains. Under this initiative, all 10,000 FPOs have now been successfully registered.

To improve credit access, FPOs are being encouraged to avail collateral-free loans under the Credit Guarantee Fund (CGF). So far, 2,583 FPOs have received credit guarantee coverage.

To strengthen the partnership between FPOs and agri-industries, various fairs, exhibitions and B2B events are being organized across the country. Industry representatives are invited to help FPOs negotiate better deals and access wider markets. Additionally, FPOs are being supported in participating in expos and exhibitions conducted by central and state government departments, industry associations, and other institutions.
National Mission to Promote Natural Farming:
The National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF) is being implemented in coordination with states and union territories, based on their action plans. So far:
As per mission guidelines, Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) are providing hands-on training to farmers and Community Resource Persons (CRPs) on preparing natural inputs such as Beejamrit, Jeevamrit, and Neemastra, along with demonstrations on natural farming practices through model plots.
Online Certification System for Natural Farming Developed: To ensure quality assurance and better market connectivity for natural farming produce, the National Centre for Organic and Natural Farming (NCONF), Ghaziabad, has developed an online certification system Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) – INDIA – NATURAL under the Natural Farming Certification System (NFCS). This platform simplifies online registration and certification for farmers practising natural farming.
