If you’re planning to sell your wheat, today’s mandi report is crucial. Wheat prices across major markets in India witnessed significant fluctuations. In Pune (Maharashtra), premium Sharbati wheat touched a record ₹5,000 per quintal, while in several other mandis, prices hovered around the MSP of ₹2,425 per quintal due to heavy arrivals.

For farmers, this clearly signals two things - those with premium quality wheat may benefit from selling now, whereas farmers with regular varieties might consider waiting a little longer to fetch better prices.

This wheat mandi price update provides a state-wise snapshot of the highest and lowest prices and offers strategic tips for farmers.

Pune Tops with ₹5,000/Quintal — Several Mandis Below MSP:

This week, wheat prices and arrivals showed sharp movements across states:

  1. In Pune, Sharbati wheat prices soared to ₹5,000 per quintal — almost double the MSP.
  2. In contrast, Duni (Rajasthan) saw prices dip to ₹2,400 per quintal, raising farmers’ concerns.
  3. Auraiya (UP) recorded the highest arrival at 550 tonnes, followed by Kota (Rajasthan) at 412 tonnes.
  4. Most mandis reported trading between ₹2,500–₹2,650 per quintal.
  5. Premium varieties drove prices up in Pune, Chhotisadri, and Amravati, whereas heavy arrivals in Kota, Bundi, and parts of UP kept prices closer to MSP.

Key Farmer Strategies

  1. Golden Opportunity for Premium Wheat: Farmers with Sharbati or other premium varieties should consider selling now to capitalize on high market rates.
  2. Regular Wheat — Wait and Watch: In areas with heavy arrivals, holding produce for 1–2 weeks may yield better prices later.
  3. Leverage Government Procurement: In regions where prices are below MSP, maintain quality to benefit from government purchase centers.
  4. Storage Can Pay Off: If storage is available, farmers could hold stocks till October–November, when slight price improvements are expected.

This detailed price update helps farmers make informed selling decisions by tracking real-time mandi trends, MSP comparisons, and arrival data.
