Wheat Prices Rise in MP and Punjab Mandis, Selling Above MSP – Check Latest Wheat Prices

This season, wheat procurement has picked up pace in key producing states. Punjab has purchased 8.38 million tonnes of wheat so far, a significant jump from 6.85 million tonnes last year. Haryana has also procured 6.19 million tonnes, higher than last year’s 5.72 million tonnes. Madhya Pradesh increased its purchase target to 7 million tonnes and has already procured 6.14 million tonnes. However, in Uttar Pradesh, procurement remains low — only 0.64 million tonnes have been bought so far against a target of 3 million tonnes.
The central government had set wheat procurement targets at MSP mainly from Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. In some states, there have been informal restrictions on wheat movement by private traders, affecting supply logistics.
