Farmers in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi witnessed wheat market prices trading close to the Minimum Support Price (MSP) on 14 May 2026. According to the latest mandi report, wheat prices in most markets ranged between ₹2,400 and ₹2,600 per quintal, while select mandis offered rates above MSP for better-quality produce.
The current market trend clearly reflects quality-based purchasing. Farmers bringing clean, dry, and high-grade wheat are receiving stronger prices, whereas mixed or average-quality wheat continues to trade within a limited price range.
Trading activity remained stable in Delhi’s major mandis, while several Uttar Pradesh markets recorded strong procurement near MSP levels despite healthy arrivals. This indicates that the wheat market is currently balanced, with steady demand for superior-quality grain.
Farmers are therefore advised to pay special attention to cleaning, grading, and moisture control before selling their produce. Selling high-quality wheat in the right mandi can significantly improve returns during the current season.

Markets Offering the Highest Prices:
Mandis Trading Below MSP:
The government has fixed the wheat MSP at ₹2,585 per quintal, but several mandis reported lower prices for average-quality wheat:
This clearly shows that mixed and lower-grade wheat remains under price pressure, while Dara Mill Quality and premium-grade wheat continue to fetch better prices near or above MSP.
Important Advice for Farmers:
1- Keep High-Quality Wheat Separate:
Better-quality grain such as Dara Mill Quality wheat is receiving stronger market rates.
2- Avoid Selling Below MSP in a Hurry:
Farmers should explore government procurement centres before accepting low market prices.
3- Maintain Low Moisture Levels:
Traders are reducing prices for wheat with higher moisture content.
4- Track Prices in Major Mandis Regularly:
Markets like Narela, Meerut, and Ghaziabad may continue offering better prices in the coming days.
