Wheat prices in Maharashtra witnessed major fluctuations today. While Sharbati wheat touched a new seasonal high in big markets, the price of regular wheat largely hovered around the MSP in many APMCs. In some markets, arrivals crossed 700 tonnes, whereas smaller mandis struggled to receive even 1 tonne resulting in sharp variation in both arrivals and prices.

Price & Arrival Analysis:
Today, Maharashtra’s mandis witnessed strong price movement in Sharbati and premium-quality wheat. In Pune APMC, Sharbati wheat touched a high of ₹5,500 per quintal, while Mumbai APMC recorded the highest rate of the day at ₹5,800 per quintal. In contrast, the prices of regular-quality wheat remained close to MSP in many markets. Latur (Murud) reported the lowest prices, ranging between ₹2,000–2,400 per quintal.
Terms of arrivals, there was a major imbalance across the state. Mumbai APMC saw an inflow of over 708 tonnes, the highest among all markets today. On the other hand, mandis like Devala, Gangakhed, and Karmala reported less than 1 tonne of arrivals. Markets with lower arrivals recorded stronger prices, while those with heavy supply showed slight pressure on rates.
