On May 16, 2025, wheat prices across major mandis in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan showed a mixed trend. Some mandis offered higher rates for premium varieties like mill-quality and "Farmi" wheat, while others stuck close to the government's Minimum Support Price (MSP). This season, the MSP for wheat is fixed at ₹2425 per quintal.

Markets where better quality wheat arrived, the prices were noticeably higher. On the other hand, places with lower or average-quality wheat mostly recorded rates around the MSP. This variation once again proves that quality plays a key role in determining mandi rates.
If you are planning to sell your wheat in the near future, this report will help you identify which mandis are offering higher prices, so you can make informed decisions and maximize your earnings.

Wheat Prices in Madhya Pradesh Mandis:

Wheat Prices in Indore Mandi: Indore mandi, around 65.3 tons of wheat arrived today. The prices ranged between ₹2439 and ₹2750 per quintal, with a modal price of ₹2650. This rate is significantly higher than the MSP, offering relief to farmers who brought in mill-quality wheat.

Wheat Prices in Khargone Mandi: Khargone mandi reported an arrival of 18.15 tons of wheat. Prices here were slightly above average, ranging from ₹2558 to ₹2600 per quintal. The modal price was ₹2580, indicating a stable and healthy market due to good quality produce and local demand.

Wheat Prices in Bina Mandi: Bina mandi witnessed only 7.22 tons of wheat today, but the price range was quite broad—from ₹2550 to ₹3520 per quintal. The modal price stood at ₹2900. Such high prices were most likely achieved due to the availability of clean, premium-quality wheat.

Wheat Prices in Rajasthan Mandis:

Wheat Prices in Bassi Mandi: Rajasthan’s Bassi mandi, 38.2 tons of wheat arrived. The prices remained close to the MSP, ranging from ₹2250 to ₹2562 per quintal. The modal price was ₹2406, showing little room for higher gains but offering stability.

Wheat Prices in Kota Mandi: Kota mandi saw the highest wheat arrival of the day, with 3543 tons. Despite this massive supply, the prices remained stable between ₹2400 and ₹2555 per quintal. The modal price here was ₹2500, showing that even with large supply, the market held firm.

Wheat Prices in Udaipur (Grain) Mandi: Udaipur grain mandi, 115.6 tons of "Farmi" variety wheat arrived. Prices here were among the highest in Rajasthan, ranging between ₹3250 and ₹3450 per quintal. The modal price stood at ₹3350, reflecting strong demand and the value of superior-quality branded wheat.

Conclusion: Today’s mandi price data shows clear variation based on wheat quality, mandi conditions, and regional demand. While some markets, especially in Madhya Pradesh, offered good returns above the MSP, others remained steady near the support price. For farmers, this is an important signal — maintaining wheat quality and tracking mandi trends can significantly improve income potential.
