Fresh data on rice prices and arrivals from major markets across the country has been released. While rice arrivals remained very low in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh reported higher inflows across its mandis.

In Maharashtra’s Alibagh and Murud markets, rice prices stood steady between ₹2,500 and ₹2,700 per quintal with just 1 tonne of arrivals. Meanwhile, in Uttar Pradesh, today’s mandi prices ranged widely from ₹2,700 to ₹3,650 per quintal, reflecting both strong demand and variation in arrivals.

Rice Price & Arrival Analysis (August 18, 2025):

Maharashtra: Alibagh and Murud markets, rice prices remained stable at ₹2,500–₹2,700 per quintal despite very low arrivals (1 tonne each). This indicates no major price volatility for now.

Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh showed a wide range of arrivals and prices across its mandis:

  • The highest price was recorded at Gurusarai (₹3,650/quintal), with arrivals of just 0.6 tonnes.
  • The lowest price was seen in Banthra (₹2,708/quintal), which also had a high arrival of 133.5 tonnes.
  • Raebareli reported the largest arrival (165.5 tonnes), with prices between ₹3,160 and ₹3,200.
  • Markets such as Firozabad, Ghiror, and Mauranipur saw prices climb above ₹3,500 per quintal, supported by limited arrivals.
