Rice Mandi Bhav Report (18 November 2025): Today’s rice market update turned out to be crucial for farmers and traders across the country. Prices in several major mandis of Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra showed a mixed trend. While some markets witnessed steady rates due to heavy arrivals, Maharashtra’s Karjat mandi saw rice prices shoot up to their highest level of the season. Limited arrivals and strong demand pushed the rates sharply upward.
On the other hand, many mandis in Uttar Pradesh recorded comparatively lower prices today, creating an overall mixed market sentiment. In such a situation, understanding where selling rice can bring better profit and where holding stock for a few days might be more beneficial becomes extremely important for farmers.

Hold Your Stock Where Prices Are Low: Places like Jehanabad and Alibag, holding your produce may be beneficial as prices are likely to improve.
Sell in High-Demand Markets: Farmers near Karjat, Robertsganj, and Gopiganj can earn good margins by selling now due to strong demand and rising prices.
Focus on Grade-III Rice: Demand for Grade-III varieties is increasing. Improving cleaning, grading, and packaging can help you secure better prices.
Avoid Bulk Selling During High Arrivals: When arrivals increase, prices often drop. Selling in smaller batches can help maintain profit levels.
Store If You Have Capacity: Farmers with storage facilities can hold rice and sell during upcoming high-demand periods for better returns.
