Price & Arrival Analysis Detailed Insights:
Today, the highest potato prices were recorded in Khambhat and Navsari, where rates touched ₹3,200 per quintal. Other markets like Palitana and Bilimora also reported strong prices, reaching up to ₹3,000 per quintal.
On the other hand, Surat and Mehsana recorded the lowest prices, ranging from ₹650–₹700 per quintal, mainly due to extremely high arrivals — 1,085 tonnes and 85.9 tonnes respectively.
Large arrivals created downward pressure on market rates.
Rajasthan, potato prices remained largely stable between ₹1,000 and ₹1,500 per quintal. Slight upward movement was visible in Sangaria, where prices increased up to ₹1,900.
In terms of arrivals, Surat (1,085 tonnes) and Rajkot (337 tonnes) topped the list, which naturally kept rates subdued. Meanwhile, low-arrival mandis like Khambhat, Goluwala, Bassi, and Sangaria recorded stronger prices due to limited supply.
