Today, potato prices across India showed sharp fluctuations with some mandis recording record highs, while others witnessed a price crash due to heavy arrivals.

In Haryana’s Hansi mandi, potato prices touched an all-time high of ₹3,500/quintal, whereas in Punjab’s Rampuraphul (Nabha mandi), rates fell drastically to just ₹400/quintal.

  3. Punjab Farmers → To avoid low rates, consider shifting stock to nearby mandis where demand is stronger.
  4. Festive & Wedding Season Ahead → Potato demand is expected to rise. Farmers can adopt a partial selling + partial storage strategy for better returns.
