The Government of India has released the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, directly benefitting nearly 9 crore farmers across the country. Under this flagship initiative, every eligible farmer receives ₹6,000 annually, transferred in three equal installments directly into their bank accounts.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi disbursed the latest tranche while inaugurating the South India Natural Farming Summit in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. From this platform, the Prime Minister released more than ₹18,000 crore into the bank accounts of farmers under the PM-KISAN scheme.
During the event, PM Modi addressed farmers, agricultural entrepreneurs, and participants, emphasizing the importance of sustainable, organic, and chemical-free agriculture—the central theme of the summit. The conference has been organized by the Tamil Nadu Natural Farming Stakeholder Forum.
A day before the installment release, PM Modi had shared a post on social media platform X, noting that the summit serves as a crucial meeting point for farmers, researchers, and innovators. He highlighted the significance of promoting eco-friendly and sustainable agricultural practices and confirmed that the new PM-KISAN installment would be dedicated to farmers during the event.
According to the PM-KISAN portal (pmkisan.gov.in), the 21st installment was scheduled for release on 19 November. Farmers from several states, including Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, had already received the installment in advance.
