Price & Arrival Analysis:

Today, Barhat (Bihar) recorded the strongest onion prices, with limited arrivals (4 tonnes) pushing rates from ₹2,300 up to ₹2,800 per quintal. Bahadurganj also saw strong prices at ₹2,200–₹2,300 per quintal.

Contrast, Uttar Pradesh mandis like Firozabad (72 tonnes) and Hathras (52 tonnes) experienced higher arrivals, keeping prices between ₹1,025 and ₹1,300 per quintal.

The fastest price surge in UP was observed in Gulawati, where only 0.2 tonnes of onions arrived and prices reached ₹1,600 per quintal, while in Ahirora, high supply pushed rates down to ₹800 per quintal.

  1. Farmers with high-quality onions can consider selling in Bihar mandis (Barhat, Bahadurganj) for higher returns.
