Today, onion prices varied widely across mandis. Barhat (Bihar) recorded the highest rates up to ₹2,800 per quintal, while in Satana (Maharashtra), the minimum price fell to just ₹300 per quintal.

Heavy arrivals in Maharashtra influenced prices:

  • Vashi: 821 tonnes
  • Satana: 449 tonnes
  • Kolhapur: 367 tonnes

As a result, prices in these mandis came under pressure.

On the other hand, in Bihar, arrivals were lower, yet prices remained strong between ₹2,500–₹2,800, especially for high-quality onions.
