Today’s potato market showed both weakness and strength, depending on arrivals.
Madhya Pradesh, heavy arrivals in Indore and Ujjain led to sharp price declines. Minimum prices dropped to ₹207–₹468 per quintal, indicating excess supply and weak buying. In Morena, potatoes traded between ₹500–₹1,000, reflecting sluggish demand.
On the other hand, several Maharashtra mandis remained strong. In Akluj, prices touched ₹2,300 per quintal. Mandis such as Bhusawal, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Rahata, and Pune (Manjari) also reported prices close to ₹2,000, suggesting stable demand.
Arrival data shows that Nagpur (315 tons) and Nashik (248 tons) received heavy supply, while Junnar, Bhusawal, and Pune (Manjari) had very limited arrivals. This difference in supply directly impacted prices—low arrivals supported higher rates, while high arrivals kept prices under pressure.
