A yellow alert has been issued for several regions.
States like Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh are expected to receive heavy rainfall between July 2nd and 7th. Similarly, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, and Odisha may witness heavy showers from July 2nd to 5th. Very heavy rainfall is particularly forecast for Madhya Pradesh on July 2nd and again between July 5th and 7th, while Odisha may see intense rainfall on July 2nd and 3rd. Thunderstorms and lightning, along with moderate rainfall, are likely across the region throughout the week.
The Konkan & Goa region, Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra, the Gujarat region, and Saurashtra-Kutch are expected to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over the next seven days as monsoon activity intensifies.
Northeast India to Continue Receiving Rainfall: The northeastern states will likely experience continued light to moderate rainfall throughout the coming week, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. Some areas may also see isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall.
