If today’s garlic prices have left you shocked, the reason is clear. The latest updates from major garlic mandis across the country reveal extreme price volatility. While garlic is selling at record highs in some markets, farmers in other regions are being forced to sell their produce at much lower rates.
The most talked-about market today is Ganaur APMC in Haryana. With arrivals of just 0.2 tonnes, garlic prices here surged to an astonishing ₹18,000 per quintal. Limited supply coupled with strong demand pushed prices sharply upward.
In stark contrast, garlic mandis in Madhya Pradesh painted a completely different picture. Due to heavy arrivals, farmers there had to sell garlic in the range of ₹3,000 to ₹8,000 per quintal. This clearly shows how prices can change dramatically from one mandi to another on the same day, even for the same crop.
If you are a garlic farmer planning your sale or a trader trying to understand the upcoming trend, today’s mandi update is extremely important. Market signals suggest that if arrivals decline further in the coming days, garlic prices may rise even more. Choosing the right mandi at the right time has now become the key to maximizing profits.

On the downside, Rajgarh APMC in Madhya Pradesh saw prices under pressure due to higher arrivals (7.5 tonnes), with garlic trading between ₹3,000 and ₹8,000 per quintal. Prices in Shajapur remained limited around ₹5,900.
Arrival-wise, Rajgarh (MP), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (MH), and Ajmer (Rajasthan) reported relatively higher inflows, while Dabli Rathan, Samalkha, Ganaur, and Mansa recorded very low arrivals. As expected, mandis with lower arrivals delivered stronger prices.
