The sharpest surge in tomato prices today was recorded in Charkhi Dadri (Haryana), where the maximum price reached ₹7,000 per quintal. Mandis like Bhiwani, Chhachhrauli, Bahadurgarh, and Gohana also saw tomatoes selling above ₹4,500, clearly indicating strong prices due to limited supply in Haryana.

In contrast, Madhya Pradesh mandis such as Barad and Shivpuri witnessed a steep fall in prices, ranging between ₹380 and ₹650 per quintal, due to heavy arrivals. In Barad mandi alone, arrivals crossed 80 tonnes, putting significant pressure on prices. Meanwhile, Morena, with relatively low arrivals, managed to hold prices near ₹2,000 per quintal.

In terms of arrivals, Gurugram (84 tonnes) and Barad (80 tonnes) recorded the highest inflow of tomatoes, while mandis like Chhachhrauli, Hasanpur, and Barwala saw arrivals of less than 1 tonne, directly benefiting price levels there.
