Up to 50% subsidy on Super Seeder and Happy Seeder, know the application process

To promote modern farming practices and mechanization in agriculture, the state government has launched a subsidy initiative under the E-Krishi Yantra Anudan Yojana. Through this scheme, farmers can avail 40% to 50% subsidy on the purchase of Happy Seeder and Super Seeder machines. The online application process began on April 18, 2025, and interested farmers can now apply through the official portal.

Addressing Stubble Management and Advanced Sowing Needs:

Post-harvest stubble burning of paddy and wheat crops continues to be a major issue, causing environmental pollution and reducing soil fertility. The use of modern equipment like the Happy Seeder and Super Seeder enables effective crop residue management without burning and allows farmers to directly sow summer pulses like moong and urad. To encourage this sustainable practice, the government is offering significant subsidies on the purchase of these implements.

Government-Backed Subsidy on Agricultural Equipment this scheme:

• SC/ST and small/marginal farmers are eligible for 50% subsidy.
• General category farmers will receive 40% subsidy.
• Subsidy will be applicable only on machines approved by the state agriculture department.

How to Apply for Happy Seeder & Super Seeder Subsidy:

1. Visit the 1.    E-Krishi Yantra Anudan Portal
2. Upload required documents:
3. Aadhaar card (linked to mobile number)
4. Bank passbook (first page)
5. Land ownership documents (Khatauni/Khata, B-1)
6. Tractor Registration Certificate (RC)
7. Attach a Demand Draft (DD) of ₹4,500 for each machine – Happy Seeder and/or Super Seeder.
8. The DD must be made in the name of the Assistant Agricultural Engineer of the respective district.
9. Applications without DD will not be accepted.

Complete Process: From Lottery to Subsidy Disbursal:

1. District-wise targets will be set based on the number of applications received.
2. Beneficiaries will be selected via lottery system.
3. Selected farmers will receive an approval order.
4. After approval, purchase of the equipment must be done within 20 days.
5. Payment must be made through DD, cheque, or online banking – cash payments are not allowed.
6. After purchase, required documents must be uploaded on the portal.
7. Physical verification will be conducted by department officials within 7 days.
8. On successful verification, subsidy amount will be transferred directly to the farmer’s bank account.
