In a special initiative ahead of Holi, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has announced subsidised agricultural machinery for farmers across the state. The Department of Agriculture has opened the booking process for farm equipment available under subsidy, with applications being accepted until March 4. Interested farmers must apply online through the official portal, www.agridarshan.up.gov.in.
According to Agriculture Director Dr. Pankaj Kumar Tripathi, the initiative aims to strengthen farmers’ incomes while promoting the use of modern technology in agriculture.

Applications Open Until March 4:

Under the Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanization scheme, applications have been invited for Farm Machinery Banks, agricultural drones and various individual farm implements. Subsidies will also be provided for equipment related to crop residue management under the In-Situ Crop Residue Management scheme. Farmers can additionally apply for plant protection equipment under other ongoing schemes.

The department has also included equipment such as batch dryers and maize shellers under the Rapid Maize Development Programme. Officials have clarified that all applications will be accepted strictly through the online mode.

Online Booking Mandatory:

To book agricultural machinery, farmers need to visit www.agridarshan.up.gov.in and select the “Yantra Booking” option under the Farmer Corner section. Detailed information regarding equipment specifications, subsidy rates and the application process is available on the website.

Once a beneficiary is selected or the booking token is confirmed, the farmer must purchase the machinery within 10 days and upload the invoice and photographs on the departmental portal or upyantratraking.in.

Nearly Three Lakh Farm Machines Distributed Since 2017:

According to official data, nearly 300,000 agricultural machines have been distributed across the state between 2017–18 and 2025. These include over 231,000 individual farm implements, 8,405 Custom Hiring Centres and 7,351 Farm Machinery Banks.

In the financial year 2025–26, bills related to the establishment of 7,777 agricultural machines, 51 Custom Hiring Centres and 64 Farm Machinery Banks had been uploaded on the portal by January.
The Agriculture Department believes that wider access to modern farm equipment will help reduce cultivation costs, improve productivity and ensure sustainable growth in farmers’ incomes.
