Government’s Big Gift: Solar Pumps for Farmers, ₹1500 for Sisters, and Laptops-Scooters for Students

New Initiatives for Farmers, Women, and Students, The state government has rolled out major benefits for farmers, women, and students. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that more than 20 lakh farmers will soon receive solar-powered pumps, providing them with permanent relief from electricity bill concerns. Additionally, farmers will get an honorarium, women beneficiaries will receive ₹1500 every month, and students will be supported with laptops, scooters, and other incentives.

20 Lakh Solar Pumps for Farmers:

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to empower farmers, CM Dr. Yadav declared that over 20 lakh solar pumps will be distributed across the state. This move aims to reduce dependency on conventional electricity and help farmers save on recurring power costs. The announcement was made during an inauguration and foundation-laying ceremony at Rajodha village in Morena district.

Support for Farmers and Women:

The Chief Minister highlighted that farmers will continue to receive a combined honorarium of ₹12,000 annually — ₹6,000 each from the central and state governments. Similarly, the Ladli Behna Yojana will ensure that women receive ₹1500 every month starting from Bhai Dooj, right after Diwali.

Boosting Education for Students:

To promote education and encourage young talent, the government has introduced several student-focused initiatives:

  1. Laptops for students scoring more than 75% in board examinations.
  2. Scooters for meritorious students.
  3. Bicycles and uniforms for all needy students.

Registration for Kharif Procurement from September 15 For the 2025–26 Kharif marketing year, the government will procure paddy, jowar, and bajra at Minimum Support Price (MSP). Registration for farmers will be open from September 15 to October 10, 2025. District Collector Shri Balaguru K. urged all farmers to complete registration within the timeline.

Committee Formed for Smooth Procurement Process:

To ensure transparency and efficiency, a sub-divisional level procurement committee has been constituted. Headed by the Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue), it will include officials from agriculture, cooperatives, banking, mandis, and related departments. The committee will regularly inspect procurement centers and address farmers’ concerns promptly.
