Rice Prices in Maharashtra Markets:

Rice prices across Maharashtra’s coastal districts remained generally stable today.

  1. Alibag Market: About 1 tonne of other rice varieties arrived, with prices ranging between ₹2,500 and ₹2,700 per quintal. The market is known for its medium-scale rice trade.

  2. Karjat (Raigad) Market: A slight rise in rice prices was observed. Around 12.5 tonnes of other rice varieties arrived, and prices ranged between ₹4,200 and ₹5,800 per quintal — one of the highest rates recorded in Maharashtra today. This reflects the superior quality of paddy grown in the Karjat region.

  3. Murud Market: Rice prices remained between ₹2,500 and ₹2,700 per quintal, showing stability.

  4. Palghar Market: A total of 13 tonnes of “1009 Kar” variety rice arrived, priced at ₹4,035 per quintal. These steady rates are considered balanced across the state.

Rice Price in Uttar Pradesh:

Uttar Pradesh, a large quantity of rice arrived in several markets today, with some showing minor upward trends in prices.

  1. Bangarmau Market: A total of 69 tonnes of Grade-III rice arrived, priced between ₹3,120 and ₹3,220 per quintal. Farmers reported that high-quality grains received better prices.

  2. Banthra Market: Around 4.1 tonnes of coarse rice arrived, with prices ranging from ₹2,905 to ₹2,925 per quintal.

  3. Firozabad Market: A total of 64 tonnes of common variety rice arrived, with prices between ₹3,320 and ₹3,530 per quintal — among the notable high prices in the state today.

  4. Ghiror Market: About 46 tonnes of Grade-III rice arrived, priced between ₹3,325 and ₹3,525 per quintal.

  5. Jehanabad Market: A total of 13.7 tonnes of common variety rice arrived, with prices ranging between ₹2,600 and ₹2,640 per quintal.

  6. Jahangirabad Market: Grade-III rice prices ranged between ₹3,194 and ₹3,390 per quintal.

  7. Lalganj Market: Around 8 tonnes of rice were traded between ₹2,800 and ₹2,900 per quintal.

  8. Madhoganj Market: A heavy arrival of 103 tonnes of common variety rice was recorded, with stable prices between ₹3,150 and ₹3,200 per quintal.

  9. Mauranipur Market: About 4.6 tonnes of Grade-III rice arrived, with prices ranging between ₹3,300 and ₹3,650 per quintal — one of the highest prices in the state today.

  10. Mohammadabad Market: Rice prices ranged between ₹2,960 and ₹3,160 per quintal.

  11. Pukhrayan Market: Rice was sold between ₹3,230 and ₹3,250 per quintal.

  12. Raebareli Market: A total of 122 tonnes of rice arrived, with prices ranging between ₹3,100 and ₹3,150 per quintal.

  13. Sandila Market: A heavy arrival of 112 tonnes was recorded, with prices between ₹3,110 and ₹3,200 per quintal.

  14. Shahabad (New Market): About 50 tonnes of common variety rice were sold between ₹3,140 and ₹3,220 per quintal.

  15. Tulsipur Market: Grade-III rice was priced between ₹3,050 and ₹3,120 per quintal.

Farmers’ Advisory:

  1. Premium Prices for High-Quality Rice: Farmers with clean, dry, and shiny grains can expect better rates, especially in markets like Karjat (Maharashtra) and Firozabad (Uttar Pradesh).

  2. Stable Prices in Storage-Friendly Districts: Areas where prices are ranging between ₹2,500 and ₹3,000 per quintal such as Alibag and Murud farmers can consider storing their stock, as demand is likely to rise during the festive season.

  3. Improving Trend for Grade-III Rice: Given the increasing demand across Uttar Pradesh districts, a rise of ₹100–₹150 per quintal can be expected in the coming weeks.
