The IMD has warned that Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab weather and Rajasthan may witness thunderstorms accompanied by lightning on 23 January. Wind speeds are expected to range between 40–50 kmph, with gusts reaching up to 60 kmph. Similar thunderstorm activity is also likely over Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh on the same day.

Possibility of Heavy Rain, Snowfall and Hailstorm:

According to IMD, hailstorm activity is likely over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh. Weather conditions are also expected to remain severe in all districts of Delhi, along with Ambala and Karnal in Haryana, Ludhiana in Punjab, Chandigarh, and Ajmer and Sikar in Rajasthan. Strong winds, poor weather conditions and reduced visibility may impact daily life in these areas.
