Potato Market Prices Today (25 August 2025): Prices Drop to ₹160 in Gujarat, Reach ₹3,500/Quintal in Hansi – Full Report

Potato mandi update – 25 August 2025 rates

Dear farmers, today's potato market witnessed significant price fluctuations. In some markets, prices fell as low as ₹160 per quintal, while in others, they soared up to ₹3,500 per quintal. High arrivals in Gujarat and Maharashtra kept prices under pressure, whereas limited arrivals in select markets of Haryana and Rajasthan offered farmers better rates. Analysis:

Highest Price: Hansi market in Haryana recorded the highest rate at ₹3,500 per quintal.
Lowest Price: Gondal market in Gujarat saw prices as low as ₹160–300 per quintal.
Highest Arrival: Surat (1095 tonnes) and Rajkot (460 tonnes) in Gujarat.
Lowest Arrival: Basi (0.2 tonnes) in Rajasthan and Kosli (0.2 tonnes) in Haryana.

Overall, heavy arrivals in Gujarat and Maharashtra kept prices lower, whereas limited arrivals in Hansi market of Haryana pushed prices significantly higher.

Markets with good prices: Selling in Haryana (Hansi, Farrukhnagar), Maharashtra (Vaai, Kamthi), and Rajasthan (Basi) can yield better profits.
