Today, in the country’s major vegetable markets (Sabzi Mandi Bhav Today), potato prices (Aloo Mandi Bhav) saw a huge fluctuation. In some areas, heavy arrivals caused prices to fall, while in others, festive demand heated up the market.
From Azadpur Mandi in Delhi to Vashi Mandi in Maharashtra, potato prices showed both upward and downward trends. In several markets, the demand for premium-quality potatoes allowed farmers to earn good prices, while in some places, average quality and lower demand caused rates to drop below the MSP (Minimum Support Price).
Today’s potato prices (Aaj Ka Aloo Bhav) across India ranged between ₹400 and ₹3,000 per quintal.
Let’s see:
- Which markets are giving farmers the highest profit
- Where potato prices have dropped significantly
Delhi Markets (NCT of Delhi):
- Azadpur Mandi: Today, approximately 1,116.5 tonnes of potatoes arrived. Prices ranged from ₹400 to ₹3,000 per quintal. The higher number of buyers for quality potatoes resulted in higher rates.
- Keshopur Mandi: 301.9 tonnes of potatoes arrived, with prices between ₹800 and ₹1,600 per quintal. Traders reported that wholesale demand was moderate, so the market remained relatively stable.
Madhya Pradesh Markets:
- Betul (F&V): 55 tonnes of ‘Red Nainital’ variety potatoes arrived today. Prices ranged from ₹1,300 to ₹1,500 per quintal. The good quality of the crop ensured satisfactory rates.
