Today’s mandi prices clearly indicate that farmers who chose the right market at the right time earned better returns.
In several markets of Bihar, the Jyoti variety of potato recorded strong prices, while many major mandis in Haryana and Madhya Pradesh saw prices under pressure due to heavy arrivals.

The highest potato prices today were recorded in Sheohar APMC (Bihar), where Jyoti variety potatoes sold between ₹2,000 and ₹2,500 per quintal. Strong prices were also seen in Piro and Brahmpur, confirming robust demand for good-quality potatoes in Bihar.
On the other hand, Babain (Haryana) and Shajapur (MP) witnessed a sharp fall in prices.
In terms of arrivals, Gurugram (212 MT), Indore (134 MT), and Babain (132.7 MT) saw heavy inflow, keeping prices under pressure.
Conversely, low-arrival markets like Chhachhrauli, Sheohar, and Piro benefited from tighter supply, resulting in higher prices.
