Farmers witnessed a mixed trend in potato prices across major Haryana mandis on 8 May 2026. Heavy arrivals in some large markets kept prices under pressure, while limited supply and better-quality produce fetched strong rates between ₹1,000 and ₹1,200 per quintal.
According to the latest market report, potato market prices are currently driven mainly by quality and local demand. Markets receiving large quantities of potatoes are seeing weaker prices, whereas mandis with lower arrivals and premium-quality produce are offering comparatively better returns to farmers.
Such a situation, farmers are advised to avoid rushed selling decisions and closely monitor daily market trends. Proper grading and selecting the right mandi can play a major role in securing higher profits.
