Madhya Pradesh has recorded more than 13,500 farmer registrations for the procurement of paddy, jowar and bajra at Minimum Support Price (MSP) during the Kharif Marketing Season 2026-27. With the registration deadline set for October 10, farmers planning to sell these crops at MSP are advised to complete the process within the stipulated period.
So far, 13,508 farmers across the state have registered for procurement. To make the process easier for farmers, the state government has established more than 1,100 registration centres across Madhya Pradesh.
Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Govind Singh Rajput has urged farmers to complete their registration within the deadline to avoid difficulties during the crop procurement process. According to the government, multiple registration options have been provided to make the system more accessible.
Farmers can register through various government and cooperative channels. Free registration facilities are available at designated centers operated through village and local administrative institutions, as well as cooperative organizations.
These centers have been established to provide farmers with easier access to the registration process, particularly in rural areas.
Farmers can also register through MP Online kiosks, Common Service Centre (CSC) kiosks, Lok Seva Kendras and privately operated cyber cafés. The maximum registration fee through these paid facilities has been fixed at ₹50 per registration. During registration, farmers will need to provide relevant land records, Aadhaar details and other photo identification documents. These documents will be checked and their records maintained as part of the registration process.
Special Registration Arrangement for Certain Farmers:
Sharecroppers, bataidars, Kotwars and forest-patta holders will be able to register only through registration centres operated by cooperative societies or cooperative marketing institutions. All farmers registered under these categories will undergo 100% verification by the Revenue Department to establish the authenticity of their land and cultivation details.
Crop Payments to Be Made Through Aadhaar-Linked Bank Accounts:
Payment for crops sold under the MSP procurement system will be made, as a priority, to the farmer's Aadhaar-linked bank account. If payment cannot be credited to the Aadhaar-linked account due to any technical or other issue, the payment may be made to the bank account provided by the farmer during registration. Farmers must provide their bank account number and IFSC code at the time of registration. The government has stated that inactive bank accounts, joint accounts and bank accounts associated with Fino, Airtel and Paytm will not be accepted for registration. Farmers are therefore advised to ensure that their Aadhaar number, bank account and mobile number are properly linked and updated before completing registration.
₹1 Transaction for Bank Account Verification:
As part of the bank account verification process, a ₹1 transaction will be carried out through the e-Uparjan/JIT portal by the Madhya Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation during registration. The purpose of this transaction is to verify the bank account details provided by the farmer. District administrations have also been instructed to keep Aadhaar enrolment and update centres operational so that farmers can update their mobile numbers and biometric information when required. Aadhaar service centres operating through post offices can also be used for this purpose.
Aadhaar Verification Mandatory for Registration and Crop Sale:
Aadhaar verification is mandatory for both registration and the sale of crops under the MSP procurement system. Farmers can complete Aadhaar verification through an OTP sent to their Aadhaar-linked mobile number or through a biometric device.
During registration, the name recorded in the farmer's land records, including the relevant account and khasra records, will be matched with the name on the Aadhaar card. If there is a discrepancy between the land records and Aadhaar details, the registration will be referred to the concerned Tehsil office for verification. The registration will become valid only after the required verification is completed.
Farmers to Receive Registration Information through SMS:
Farmers who registered during previous Rabi and Kharif seasons and whose mobile numbers are available in the system will also be informed about the registration process through SMS. Officials have additionally been directed to display registration information on Gram Panchayat notice boards, make public announcements in villages and put up banners at cooperative society and mandi levels. Authorities have been instructed to ensure that all registration-related activities are completed within the prescribed timeline.
Farmers Should Complete Registration before October 10:
Farmers planning to sell paddy, jowar or bajra at MSP should complete their registration before October 10, 2026. Before submitting the registration, farmers should ensure that their Aadhaar details, land records, mobile number and bank account information are accurate and updated. Completing registration on time and ensuring that all required details are properly verified can help farmers avoid potential difficulties during the procurement and payment process.
