Today has been a challenging day for onion farmers in Rajasthan. On 03 December 2025, several major mandis across the state witnessed a sudden decline in prices. In high-supply mandis like Alwar, Jaipur, and Pratapgarh, onion rates fell sharply. In some locations, prices dropped as low as ₹3 per kg (₹300/quintal), putting additional pressure on farmers.
Conversely, mandis with lower arrivals, such as Bassi, Rajsamand, and Sangaria, reported stronger rates, ranging between ₹2,000–₹2,200/quintal. This clearly shows that today’s prices were heavily dependent on arrivals higher arrivals led to lower prices, while lower arrivals supported stronger rates.
