The Madhya Pradesh government is making significant strides to connect youth with employment opportunities and promote self-reliance. Under the "Year of Industry and Employment" announced by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department is actively driving impactful initiatives.
Over 1.8 million registered MSME units in the state have collectively invested more than ₹56,000 crore, generating employment for more than 9.4 million people. In addition, 5,342 startups, 72 incubators, and 2,542 women-led startups have provided employment to over 54,000 individuals.
During FY 2024–25, 10,352 youth have been linked to self-employment through the Chief Minister’s Udyam Kranti Yojana and the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme. To accelerate this momentum, the state government has introduced the MSME Development Policy 2025, the Startup Policy 2025, and the Industrial Land Allocation Rules 2025. The Startup Policy aims to support 10,000 DPIIT-recognized startups.
At the recently held Regional Industry, Skill, and Employment Conclave in Ratlam, it was highlighted that over 2.37 lakh beneficiaries have received loans exceeding ₹2,400 crore under various schemes for FY 2025–26. Additionally, loans amounting to ₹3,861 crore have been distributed to over 400,000 beneficiaries through various self-employment schemes. Furthermore, 880 MSME units have been provided with financial assistance worth ₹269 crore.
