Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced a significant Diwali gift for beneficiaries of the Ladli Behna Yojana. Speaking at an event in Indore, he declared that starting from the upcoming Diwali, all eligible women will receive ₹1500 per month under the scheme. Currently, the beneficiaries are receiving ₹1250 per month.
Dr. Yadav also announced that on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan next month, an additional ₹250 will be transferred to the bank accounts of all beneficiary sisters to help them celebrate the festival with greater joy and enthusiasm.
He further stated that the government plans to gradually increase this amount up to ₹3000 per month in a phased manner. The Chief Minister emphasized that the goal of the Ladli Behna Yojana is to empower women socially and economically, and that the state government is actively implementing several welfare schemes aimed at women's development.
During his interaction with the women present at the event, Dr. Yadav reassured them of the state government’s unwavering commitment to their welfare and empowerment, affirming that the administration will continue to work in this direction with full dedication.
