Heat Index to Reach 40–50°C in Several Districts:

Districts like Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Bareilly, Mainpuri, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Muzaffarnagar, Mau, Ballia, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Mathura, Hathras, Etah, Agra, Firozabad, Auraiya, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, and Gautam Buddha Nagar may experience a heat index between 40°C and 50°C, leading to intense heat and discomfort.

Unstable Weather in Many States:

Apart from Uttar Pradesh, several states across India may witness bad weather in the coming days.

  1. Odisha: Heavy rainfall with thunderstorms is expected in some areas.
  2. Strong Winds (50-60 km/h): Likely in parts of Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Punjab, West Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Bihar, and North Interior Karnataka.
  3. Thunderstorms with Gusty Winds (40-60 km/h): Expected in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Himachal Pradesh, East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and

Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

  1. Mild Thunderstorms (30-50 km/h winds): Possible in East and West Uttar Pradesh, South Interior Karnataka, Vidarbha, and Coastal Karnataka.
  2. Thunder and Lightning: Likely in parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Rayalaseema, and Tamil Nadu–Puducherry.

People are advised to stay indoors during thunderstorms and avoid open areas during lightning.
