September has started on a rainy note across several parts of the country. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that Delhi-NCR will see cloudy skies and light rainfall until September 10. During this period, the maximum temperature is expected to stay around 34–35°C, while the minimum may remain between 23–25°C.
From September 6 to 9, the region will mostly remain under cloud cover with light showers at intervals. On some days, partly cloudy conditions may also appear, but overall, the weather is likely to remain pleasant till September 10.
Rainfall activity will continue in many states of Northwest India. Uttarakhand and Rajasthan are expected to receive heavy showers between September 5 and 8. Haryana and Chandigarh may see rainfall on September 5 and again from September 8 to 10, while Punjab is likely to get rain on September 10. East Uttar Pradesh could see a spell of rain on September 9. Very heavy rain is possible in parts of Rajasthan between September 5 and 7.
West Madhya Pradesh is forecast to receive heavy showers from September 4 to 6, with intense rainfall likely on September 5. Bihar is expected to see rain from September 8 to 10. Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim may experience heavy spells on September 5 and again from September 7 to 10.
Western India Weather Conditions: Gujarat Region is likely to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall on September 5–6, while Saurashtra and Kutch may see intense showers on September 6–7. Konkan, Goa, and Madhya Maharashtra are also set to get rain on September 5–6, with light to moderate rain continuing in many areas for the next five days.
