Weather Update: Heavy Rain in Delhi-NCR, Gujarat, Rajasthan and MP; Hot and Humid Weather in UP, Monsoon to Revive in Bihar

Continuous rainfall in Delhi-NCR has led to waterlogging in several areas, forcing residents to move to safer places. In Punjab, heavy downpours have caused significant damage to property and normal life.

IMD Alert for Gujarat and Rajasthan:

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of heavy rainfall in Gujarat’s Saurashtra and Kutch regions between September 6 and 7. Eastern and southwestern Rajasthan are also likely to witness intense showers during this period. Additionally, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi-NCR, Punjab, and eastern Uttar Pradesh are expected to receive heavy rain between September 8 and 11.

Heavy Rain Continues in Madhya Pradesh:

The monsoon system remains active in Madhya Pradesh, bringing continuous rainfall across several districts. On Saturday, an alert was issued for 12 districts. Bhopal received rainfall since morning, while rising water levels forced the opening of five dam gates on Friday. Districts including Narmadapuram, Raisen, Vidisha, Indore, Ujjain, Neemuch, Mandsaur, and Ratlam are likely to witness heavy showers in the next 24 hours.

Hot and Humid Weather in UP:

Uttar Pradesh, the monsoon has weakened, and the weather is expected to remain dry for the next three days. Clear skies will push temperatures upward, bringing back heat and humidity. Lucknow may record a maximum of 34°C, while Kanpur is also likely to experience sultry conditions.

Monsoon Revival in Bihar: The monsoon is expected to revive in Bihar from September 10. IMD has issued an alert for thunderstorms, rainfall, and strong winds in Patna and 11 other districts. In the last 24 hours, Masaurhi in Patna district recorded the highest rainfall, while Patna city remained the hottest in the state at 36.5°C.
