Today proved to be a crucial day for wheat farmers and traders in Gujarat. On 20 January 2026, the latest mandi prices clearly indicated that demand for good-quality wheat remains strong, while inferior and average-quality produce continued to face price pressure. In several mandis, wheat prices traded well above the MSP of ₹2,425 per quintal, whereas in a few markets, heavy arrivals and weaker quality pulled prices lower.
The biggest highlight of the day came from Dahod APMC, where wheat prices surged to a maximum of ₹2,850 per quintal, the highest rate reported today. This has raised optimism among farmers that prices for premium-quality wheat may strengthen further in the coming days. However, wheat trading below MSP in some mandis has also signaled the need for caution.
This report provides a detailed overview of wheat prices across major Gujarat mandis, identifies where farmers are receiving the best rates, highlights markets where prices are under pressure due to higher arrivals, and helps farmers decide whether this is the right time to sell.

The strongest price momentum was recorded at Dahod APMC, where despite arrivals exceeding 110 tonnes, wheat prices traded between ₹2,750 and ₹2,850 per quintal, nearly ₹425 above MSP. Morbi, Deesa, and Babra mandis also reported firm prices close to ₹2,700 per quintal, reflecting sustained demand for quality wheat.
In contrast, Dhari APMC, despite extremely low arrivals of just 0.19 tonnes, recorded prices as low as ₹1,750 per quintal, well below MSP, highlighting the impact of poor quality. Similarly, Chotila mandi, with arrivals of over 50 tonnes, saw its minimum price drop to ₹2,250 per quintal due to excess supply.
From an arrivals perspective, Dahod and Chotila recorded the highest inflow, while Meghraj (Radalvada), Dhari, and Rekhiyal witnessed minimal arrivals. Although low arrivals supported prices in some mandis, weaker quality in certain locations continued to limit price gains.
