Many vegetable mandis across Uttar Pradesh saw bottle gourd prices ranging from ₹1000 to ₹1550 per quintal. In Maigalganj Mandi (Mainpuri district), the highest price was ₹1550, and the modal price stood at ₹1525, the highest in the state.
Lalganj Mandi also saw a strong price of ₹1500 per quintal. In Tulsipur Mandi, the maximum rate touched ₹1280, while the modal price was ₹1250.
In Gulawathi, prices reached ₹1100, and in Sikandrabad, the maximum rate was ₹1000 per quintal. Here, higher supply and lower demand kept the prices relatively subdued. Overall, the price trend in UP is moving upward, bringing some relief to growers.
