August 23, 2025: Garlic Market Prices Today – Rates Touch ₹10,000 in Gujarat, Drop in UP & Punjab

Farmers, today’s garlic mandi prices witnessed major fluctuations across the country. According to the latest reports, Vadhvan market in Gujarat recorded the highest rate at ₹10,000 per quintal, while Narnaul in Haryana saw prices as low as ₹5,000 per quintal.

In Uttar Pradesh, garlic prices ranged from ₹3,100 to ₹7,000 per quintal, showing wide variation between different mandis. This sharp price movement indicates that the coming days may continue to see both upward and downward trends in garlic prices.

Farmers are advised to target the right mandi with good-quality produce to secure better returns and take full advantage of the latest mandi prices.

  • Lowest Price: Ludhiana (Punjab) at ₹2,200 per quintal; Khair & Maigalganj (UP) also saw weak rates between ₹2,800–₹3,155.
  • Heavy Arrivals: Sri Ganganagar (Rajasthan) led with 40 tonnes, keeping prices limited to ₹5,300–₹5,700.
  • Low Arrivals: Narnaul (Haryana) and Gulawati (UP) recorded less than 1 tonne, resulting in stable prices.

Farmer Advisory:

  • Farmers with premium-quality garlic should sell in Vadhvan (Gujarat) and Ganaur (Haryana) for maximum profit.
  • In high-arrival markets (Sri Ganganagar, Firozabad), prices may remain under pressure—holding stock could be beneficial.
  • Where rates are only ₹3,000–₹3,500, immediate selling is not advisable; prices may rise next week.
