A special state-wide campaign is underway till April 30, 2025, to ensure all eligible beneficiaries receiving ration through the Public Distribution System (PDS) complete their e-KYC. Keeping the convenience of beneficiaries in mind, the state government has launched a mobile-based facility that enables users to complete e-KYC from the comfort of their homes.
Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Protection Minister Shri Govind Singh Rajput informed that a dedicated mobile application titled ‘Mera eKYC’ has been launched to facilitate the process. Using this app, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and even children can complete their or their family members’ e-KYC by entering their Aadhaar number and verifying it through OTP. The app is compatible with all Android smartphones.
To simplify the process further, special camps are being organized across all districts at village and ward levels. In these camps, teams comprising fair price shop vendors, ward in-charges, gram panchayat secretaries, and employment assistants are helping beneficiaries complete e-KYC using POS machines with biometric (thumbprint) authentication.
The Food Department has appealed to all ration card holders who have not yet completed their e-KYC to do so at the earliest. Beneficiaries can either use the ‘Mera eKYC’ app on their mobile phones or visit the nearest camp where POS machines are available. Ensuring 100% e-KYC completion for themselves and their family members is essential to continue receiving ration benefits smoothly.
