Wheat Price Today: Strong Rise in Wheat Rates at the Start of November, Many Markets Above MSP — Check State-Wise Mandi Report

With the beginning of November, wheat prices across the country’s mandis have shown a steady upward trend. In several districts of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, the rates have already crossed the government’s Minimum Support Price (MSP) of ₹2,425 per quintal.

The demand for wheat is rising continuously due to the festive season and the start of the wedding months, which may further strengthen prices in the coming days. If your crop is ready and the local mandi rates are above MSP, this could be the perfect time to sell.

  2. Lowest Price: Lalsot (Rajasthan) reported ₹2,200/quintal, below the MSP level.
  3. Highest Arrivals: Kota (621 tonnes) and Bahraich (500 tonnes) saw heavy inflows, leading to stable prices.
  4. Rising Price Zones: Meerut, Lucknow, Ballia, and Pratapgarh saw strong demand, keeping prices between ₹2,600–₹2,850/quintal.
  5. Stable or Weak Markets: Hardoi, Baberu, and Maigalganj remained around ₹2,400–₹2,500/quintal.

Overall, average wheat prices rose by ₹30–₹70 per quintal today compared to the previous day.

Advisory for Farmers:

  1. Sell immediately in markets where prices are above MSP such as Pratapgarh, Meerut, Ballia, and Lucknow to maximize profit.
  2. Hold or shift markets where rates are below MSP, like Lalsot, Maigalganj, and Hardoi.
  3. Gradual selling is advised in the coming weeks as the wedding and festive season may further boost demand.
  4. The “Dara variety” is seeing higher demand focus on proper cleaning and grading to get premium prices.
