The wheat market showed a clearly mixed trend today. The strongest prices were recorded in Atru APMC (Rajasthan), where wheat traded between ₹4,830 and ₹4,902 per quintal, far above MSP. This was the highest price among all reported mandis.

In Delhi’s Najafgarh and Narela mandis, wheat was sold ₹150–₹200 above MSP, providing relief to farmers and indicating stable demand.

On the other hand, Baran and Bassi mandis of Rajasthan witnessed prices between ₹2,265 and ₹2,500 per quintal, which is close to or slightly below MSP. In Anta mandi, wheat traded at ₹2,350–₹2,389, showing market weakness.

Terms of arrivals, Baran APMC recorded the highest arrival of around 150 tonnes, which put pressure on prices. Conversely, mandis like Bandikui, Raisinghnagar, and Sumerganj saw very low arrivals, helping prices remain relatively stable.

Advisory for Farmers

  1. Farmers with good-quality wheat can consider selling in selected mandis of Delhi and Rajasthan to get prices above MSP.
  2. Mandis with heavy arrivals, prices are under pressure — if storage facilities are available, postponing sales may be beneficial.
  3. Keep an eye on low-arrival mandis, as sudden price improvement is possible in these markets.
