The weather in Uttar Pradesh continues to fluctuate, bringing heavy rain to some areas while others experience scorching sun and rising humidity. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall alert for 14 districts today, while other regions are likely to see a mix of sunshine and light showers.
Over the past few days, the state has witnessed a pattern of intense rainfall followed by hot and humid conditions. This changing weather has led to an increase in seasonal illnesses such as cold, cough, and viral fever. According to the IMD, humidity levels are expected to remain high despite intermittent rainfall, offering little relief to residents.
The IMD has forecast heavy rain accompanied by strong winds in Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Gonda, Bahraich, Shravasti, Balrampur, Kushinagar, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Ballia, Sant Kabir Nagar, and Basti districts. Other parts of the state may experience bright sunshine, scattered showers, and rising humidity.
For tomorrow, September 13, the IMD has once again predicted heavy rainfall in several districts. Rampur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Pilibhit, and Bijnor are expected to receive widespread rain. Meanwhile, Shamli, Meerut, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, Gorakhpur, Basti, and Siddharthnagar are likely to witness thunderstorms, lightning, and light rain.
According to the forecast, the rainy spell will continue on September 12 and 13 across many districts. On September 14 and 15, hot and humid weather is likely to dominate. However, from September 16 onward, several parts of the state may once again see a fresh round of heavy rainfall.
Delhi-NCR Weather Update: Meanwhile, in Delhi-NCR, a shift in wind direction has provided some respite from the humid heat. The inflow of northwesterly winds has led to a slight drop in maximum temperatures. The IMD has predicted light rain or drizzles over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday), which may bring further relief to residents.
