Price & Arrival Analysis
Tomato prices showed wide variation across Maharashtra. The highest rate of the day was recorded at Panvel APMC, where premium-quality tomatoes reached ₹5,000 per quintal due to strong demand and lower arrivals.
Contrast, the lowest prices were reported at Solapur and Rahata, where tomatoes dropped to ₹400–₹500 per quintal. Heavy arrivals and lower-grade supply were the key factors behind the price fall.
Major urban markets like Pune, Mumbai, and Kalyan maintained steady rates between ₹3,000 and ₹4,000, reflecting consistent demand in city areas.
Markets with high arrivals—such as Chandrapur, Kolhapur, and Akola—saw rates limited to ₹1,500–₹2,000, while mandis with lower supply, including Kamthi and Kalyan, saw prices staying above ₹4,000.
Delhi’s Keshopur APMC, despite arrivals exceeding 144 MT, prices held strong at ₹2,800–₹4,800, supported by solid demand and good-quality supply.
Overall, mandis with higher arrivals witnessed price correction, while markets with limited supply recorded sharp spikes.
